This is the decking portion of a nine piece kit intended to create a Single track Concrete style Steel Girder Bridge as designed and built by the Ways and Works Branch of the Victorian railways from 1945. Configured as a 'spline', this part of the kit may be used to create a single 30 ft (10 meters) span or a multiple span bridge of any desirable length. This spline is intended to used with the accompanying Concrete bridge abutments supplied in the kit (as dictated by the location).
Any track may be laid across this bridge but if a track spline that has an 'alpha' component is used, it is recommended to raise the track (or lower the bridge) so that the total width of the track spline fits neatly into the width of the Kerb Timbers.
Many thanks to andi06 for his assistance in creating this model.
