This is a purpose built model based on the Former GNR(I) (Great Northern Railway of Ireland) overbridge located in the town of Coalisland, which took Derry Road over the railway line and provided road access to the station precincts. The bridge is unique for the GNR(I) in that it contained three arches, Although essentially identical to the actual bridge, this model has been modified to accommodate a dual carraigeway (where the original was but a single width laneway). The model was 'constructed' at the special request of Reynaud2 for use on his GNR(I) Cooktown route. Being of a non-prototypical nature, the bridge should look good on any Irish layout and might even be appropriate for a former or abandoned bridge (or even one still in use) anywhere else.
