This is a model of an Australian Milking Shed, based on a specific prototype that exists near the town of Gladstone, situated on the ''North Coast'' (between Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour), in New South wales. The shed is rather 'traditional' in it's design and is intended to represent a small scale (production) facility, only, having, as it does, just 5, external ''walk-in'' style stalls for cows, making it suitable for small farms (up to about 200 cows) and installations prior to the mid 1960s. To allow for multiple uses within any given route, the shed is available in three differently clad versions, with minor 'mesh' alterations. This version of the asset is the one that replicates the look of the 'original', as it exists, today (albeit still in use - which the 'original' is not), being 'clad' in unpainted, horizontal, Timber 'siding' (unusual for Australia) and extensively rusted Corrugated Iron roofing. In order for this to be a truly 'operational' facility (if only in appearance), this asset should be suitably accompanied by one or two small holding pens with facilities for loading/unloading to/from road vehicles. This asset is intended for use in Trainz version TS2009 or later.
