Arizona Eastern is a terrain generated map of the The Arizona Eastern Railway, a class 3 railroad operating between Miami AZ, and Clifton AZ. The railroad serves the copper mining region of southeastern Arizona, and the agricultural Gila River Valley. Primary commodities are sulfuric acid, copper concentrate, copper anode and cathode, and copper rod and other copper processing materials. The AER also handles minerals, chemicals, building supplies and lumber. If you like desert railroading, you'll like this map.
There are no 'Tiger Lines, shown, but small signs, indicating the location of towns, have been placed along the tracks so that conditions in those areas, (Multiple track, yards, roads ,waterways, etc.) can be accessed using Google Maps. Since the Arizona Eastern Railway is currently running everyday operations, Google Maps will give you a much more accurate discription of the route. The map has 230 miles of track, (which includes 47 miles of trackage rights over the Union Pacific Railroad between Bowie AZ, and Lordsburg NM), 3553 baseboards, and covers 711 sq miles. A TrainzMap of the route is available in the content folder. Open the file in Contant Manager, click on 'Edit in Explorer', and look for the AE RR Map.jpg
