'The Buffalo Rochester & Pittsburgh Part 2' is a terrain generated map of the Buffalo Rochester & Pittsburgh Railroad. The Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh Railroad was primarily a coal hauling railroad operating from the coal mines of central Pennsylvania to the ports of Rochester and Buffalo. After a southern connection with the B&O outside Butler PA, the BR&P aquired trackage rights to Pittsburgh PA. The line ran north to Salamanca and Ashford Junction, where it split and continued to Rochester and Buffalo. The BR&P ontinued to operate until January 1, 1932 when it was purchased by the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. Part 2 includes the railroad from Ashford Junction to Rochester NY, but doesn't include the main line from Pittsburgh to Buffalo NY, which is a separate map on the DLS called The Buffalo Rochester & Pittsburgh Part 1.
These 2 maps are set up to merge without any terrain adjustments. To merge, find the blue arrows on each route, line them up and merge. There are no 'Tiger Lines' shown, but small signs, indicating the location of towns, have been placed along the tracks so that conditions in those areas, (Multiple track, yards, roads ,waterways, etc.) can be accessed using USGS topo maps. The line from Ashford Junction to Rochester was created with georeferenced historic maps, and will require access to them to find conditions in those areas. The map has 99 miles of track, 1394 baseboards, and covers 279 sq miles. A TrainzMap of the route is available in the content folder.
