The 38 class were first conceived in 1938. They suffered many delays during construction - mostly due to World War II. 3801 was the first engine completed late 1942 and entered service in January 1943 to little fanfare. It became known at the time as the 'Grey Nurse' due to its drab, all grey colour scheme - a wartime economy.

The 38 class released for Trainz by Cowra Loco – P Covee / D Fragar
Original model by Peter Covee AD602000 who owns all rights to this model – modified and fixed for TS12 by Dave Fragar NSWGR_46class and released with permission. Please seek permissions for any changes or reskins.

The headboard is operated but the pantograph function – animation assistance from PWeiser – thanks to Paul for helping me with this. The headboard can be changed by editing the pantograph KUID in CMP
