Hypothetical, but plausible 1964 World's Fair promotional billboard 55 foot hopper car which advertizes the Sinclair Oil Company's 'Dinoland' attraction. 'Dinoland' was a real exhibit located in New York City's (Queens) Flushing Meadow Park between 1964 and 1965; part of the one and only World's Fair that was never condoned by the International Expositions Bureau. As a result of this, many major countries boycotting the exposition, and channeled their efforts towards the proximate 1967 exposition in Montreal. To compensate, a strong industrial presence was made at the 1964-65 fair, exemplified by Sinclair's Dinoland.
The larger mural is a painting of the dinosaurs which were exhibited at the attraction, set in their habitat (albeit these creatures never coexisted simultaneously). The smaller mural depicts the gas station sign and bow-tied serviceman of the times. The artwork was taken from an actual handbook passed out at the exhibit.
