This session is for Urban IndustRail 8a. All the items of rolling stock needed by the session will be downloaded from the Download Station when the session is installed.
One of the activities at PhilSkene Heavy Industries is refurbishing submarines. This requires the supply of specialised components and equipment.
It is getting towards the end of your evening shift. On your Dispatchers desk you are planning the activities and rosters for tomorrow. You will give priority to the needs of PhilSkene Industries which has to get the submarines out on time.
Those reinforced lead lined heavy weight containers with fuel rods will need to be uplifted from Invercargill Harbor, and also the high pressure pipes from The Foundry.
At Invercargill Station there are trailers loaded with electronic components waiting in the Teamsters Spur and extreme pressure crude oil to be loaded at the Conoco terminal.
Containers with specialised equipment for the submarines are at Acme.
Searching through the Yard Masters reports you find that the high capacity depressed centre cars and spacer cars for the fuel rod containers are at Dunedin, tank cars and gondolas are at Invercargill Transfer, TOFC at Invercargill Classification, and container wells at Hayfore.
Chuck and Joe are your most experienced and reliable crew. They can work out their own schedule in the morning while you continue with other tasks.
You just need to tell them that Class 1 railroad trains will be running at 5 minute intervals, that they are authorised to travel at up to 50mph except in yard areas where normal limits apply, and that they need to take care at the switch on the southern approach to Invercargill Harbor.
