This session is for Urban IndustRail 8a. All items of rolling stock are on the Download Station and will be installed automatically when the session is downloaded.
Your task as Dispatcher and then Locomotive Engineer is to decide how to best meet the transport needs of the Kar Kompany auto plant. The session will take several hours to complete.
On one side of your Dispatchers desk you have the requests from Kar Kompany:
Steel coil from the Steel Works.
Trailers loaded with tyres from Invercargill.
Deep sea containers with car components from Dunedin.
Widgets in crates from the Acme Plant.
Take completed autos to the unloading ramp at Invercargill Transfer.
On the other side of the desk are the reports from the Yard Masters:
Locomotive fuelled, sanded and checked at Loco Depot.
4 empty autoracks at the unloading ramp, Invercargill Transfer.
3 steel carrying gondolas plus 3 TOFC at Invercargill Classification Yard.
4 container well cars plus 3 flat cars at Picton Classification Yard.
You look at your roster. Chuck and Joe are the rostered crew. They will have a busy shift ahead of them.
