A spring pre-dawn morning - some drizzle but not too cold. The Dispatcher called you out an hour earlier. There are nine containers at the Container Depot that must be on the Global Freedom at Newcastle before the vessel sails. The shipper has offered a bonus if they are delivered on time, and the dispatcher knows you are the best. While Joe checks the train you read the Dispatchers orders:
Load containers at Boxings Container Depot.
Proceed to Basin Harbor and check for revised train orders.
Proceed to Anderson and check train and check for revised train orders.
Proceed to Newcastle via Armstrong and Bad Lands.
Unload containers at Newcastle wharf.
Leave container wells in yard.
Proceed to depot and sign off.
Other trains will be running at 10 minute intervals; you must give priority to these trains.
You are authorised to travel at up to 60mph where conditions permit, except in yard areas where normal limits apply.
