The original H9 locomotive, first released in TRS2004, is by Bill Klene (wgkandsk). I would like to thank Bill for giving me permission to update his work.
All I have done is make the locomotive, tender and dependencies TS12 compatible by changing the locomotive cab, sounds and enginespec, and made a few tweaks, including adding a cab crew and specular lighting to the locomotive, running gear and tender.
The PRR 2-8-0 (Consolidation) engines were the main freight engine use on PRR grain run from Chicago to the east cost during the Second World War. Throughout the war 40 to 50-car grain train left the Chicago yards every 15 minutes. The grain run H9 locomotives differed from other PRR 2-8-0 by having two large air reserve tanks hanging under the cab. This was a characteristic feature found on H9 locomotives used west of the Smoke Mountains.
