This route is for TS2010.
The route originally began as an experiment in running AI trainz in opposite directions along a single line with crossing loops, with the AI trainz also interacting with a player train picking up and dropping off freight cars in spurs at yards at the crossing loops.
The experiment was successful even with the opposing AI trainz running at five minute headways and I decided that it was worth while adding scenery and interactive industries to complete the route.
The result is a route that has a book shelf model railroad feel, with short spurs and short loops, small yards, sharp curves and a lot of action packed into a very small space. However, it does follows prototypal railroad practices.
It can also be very intense for the player cutting out freight cars in the yards and travelling on the shared track when the AI trainz are running at short headways.
Note that there are two types of switch stands on the route. When AI trainz operate it is absolutely essential that the tall switch stands are retuned to the straight through setting by the brake man if the settings have been changed by the player train. Note also that the AI trainz will always travel on the right side at crossing loops.
All the dependencies for the route are either built into TS2010 or are on the Download Station.
