A flyable A10 Thunderbolt Warthog ground attach aircraft (upgraded, number 984). The A10 had a top speed of 420 mph (665 kph) and an all up weight of 22,950 lbs (10,400 kg). It is known for its 30mm seven barrel gatling gun, which has a distinctive sound. This flying model has a variety of weapons ordinance fitted and has an automatically operating landing gear. This now retracts at takeoff speed (180 kph) set in the script. It lowers at speeds below 180kph. The speeds for tilting and landing gear retraction on takeoff may be altered in the string table above - speeds are in kph.
The aircraft tilts and banks realistically. It does not have an operating interior, but does have various exterior views based on an invisible interior, use the [ and ] keys from the interior view.
The Aircraft Action Trigger, kuid:76656:24050 when placed on track and set to the correct number, will operate the nose refueling probe (trigger number 5 setting) and the tyres will issue smoke and sound when landing (trigger number 4 setting). See my wepages for details.
The model has an animated Gatling gun operated by the horn keyboard key H, (or trigger number 1 setting) and it fires a pair of missiles (actually Paveway smart bombs) using the bell keyboard key B (or trigger number 2 setting). Flares are ejected from the rear using the keyboard key V (or trigger number 3 setting).
Note the model engine specification is set up for operation in TC3 and later versions. Original settings for acceleration and deceleration in the engine specification file suitable for TRS2006 will not allow the aircraft to accelerate in TC3 - so the settings have been increased by a factor of 4. If you find the aircraft accelerates too fast in TRS2006, reduce these setting to one quarter of their value.
