Sanford & Eastern RR 18 was originally Suncook Valley #3 and was bought new by Pinsly. This is a GE 44-tonner Switcher. Built in 1951 for use in industry and shortline switching applications. The 44-tonner was designed to comply with a 1937 industry agreement that permitted one-man operation of diesels weighing less than 90,000 pounds.
