The #2912 was one of 30 of these giant 4-8-4 locomotives built for the Santa Fe Railway in 1943-44 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works.  The #2912 was built in 1944. These locomotives were the largest and heaviest 4-8-4 locomotives ever built in the world! The Pueblo Locomotive & Rail Historical Society, Inc. is currently restoring the #2912 to operational condition.'"
the                                     "locomotive with tender weights 961,000 lbs, tractive effort is 79,960 lbs, length 120 feet, 10 inches, boiler pressure/Cylinder Size 300 psi @28.32 cylinders.  The tender 7,000 gals of oil and 24,500 gals of water, with a maximum speed greater than 100mph (160km/h)."
