Turns out B&O DID own a trio of 44-tonners, with one assigned to SIRT (Staten Island Rapid Tranist). Originally numbered 18-20, then 8800-8802, then finally 8300-8302 with C&O's unit from Manistee & Northeastern being numbered 8303.
This is a GE 44-tonner Switcher. Built in 1944 for use in industry and shortline switching applications. The 44-tonner was designed to comply with a 1937 industry agreement that permitted one-man operation of diesels weighing less than 90,000 pounds.
Modeled for use in TrainZ by Mark Hoffman; reskin by Adam Gase.
