Illinois Central operated 125 2-10-2 'Centrals' numbered 2901-3025 and built by Lima in 1920 and in 1923. Most accounts state that these engines were derived from the USRA heavy 2-10-2 (oh well!). Fifty-six were rebuilt into 73 1/2-inch drivered 4-8-2's and numbered 2500-2555. The remaining 69 engines were rebuilt and numbered 2700-2747, 2750, and 2800-2819. Tender for USRA Light 2-10-2, NOT correct for an ICRR 2-10-2.
