SIND is a 5-mile long road that serves a cement plant in southern Indiana, the only operating remnant of the Indiana Railroad (the interurban). SIND owns two 65-tonners, close to the 44-tonner in appearance. These have since been replaced by two rebuilt Alco switchers.
This is an Alco S2. Produced by American Locomotive Works from 1940 until 1950 This engine uses the McIntosh & Seymour 539 engine producing from 660 to 1000 H.P. Built in Schenectady, N.Y.
