These tenders were the standard for PRR light steam. The version I chose to create was of the type that was used for long haul fright service. These tenders had a capacity of only 7150 gallons of water, and some were equipped with a compressed air operated water scoop. However, the version I chose to create does not have the scoop. The basic tender had a 13-ton coalbunker. With the addition of a top extension, the tender's capacity was increased to about 12 tons. PRR found that a new type of truck had to be designed for their high-speed passenger engine tender, the DOLPHIN TRUCK. It was so well designed, Dolphin PRR trucks were used on many tenders. This tender version only has truck skirts so any truck can be used until I find time to make create and upload the Dolphin designed trucks.
