An APOC Class A twin tanker, which was textured using Substance Painter. Railway modellers of a certain age will know that there was a model of this wagon available from 1958 from Bob Wills and these seemed to crop up everywhere on layouts featured in the popular magazines, probably because it was so unusual.

In reality there were only four or five of these, one of which astoundingly survived until at least 1978.
APOC stands for the Anglo Persian Oil Company, the wagons were built in 1927 and registered by the GWR. They were possibly intended to be used to carry lubricating oils of different grades, some of which may have needed heating to help with unloading in cold weather, which would explain the presence of the steam heating equipment on the ends of the tanks.

Persia became Iran in 1935, and by this time there were no wagons running in the UK that carried the 'APOC' branding, so the model has a very limited timeframe. The wagons would have been re-branded 'BP' sometime before this date.
