A Standard 1923 RCH 7 plank wagon (16ft 6ins x 8ft 0ins x 4ft 4ins) with side, end and bottom doors. Welbeck colliery near Warsop, Notts started production in the 1920s and supplied house, steam and manufacturing coal. This wagon was built by W & H Davies and had an unusual livery of black with unshaded yellow lettering.
Note that after 1940 PO wagons were repaired using unpainted planks and would
not have been seen in this condition in the 1950s and 1960s.
