Route Familiarisation

It is 1968 and you have just been promoted to senior driver on the London Midland Region of British Rail. This means a move to Lowfell in Yorkshire.

Your first task is to learn the mainline. As it is a Sunday, North Eastern Region have freed up a Deltic for testing over the Vale. Your only stops during the run will be at Lowfell and Armandale for quick check overs.

Your driver will point out the major features, if you choose to take control, normal speed limits need not apply!
