This is a Victorian Railways 15 Ft Interlocked Gate crossing which can be seen around the Suburban Lines and some Country Lines, these gates lasted to early 1990s, from 1991 onwards most where getting replaced with Boomgates.
These gates have been setup so it can either be two track or single track by connecting a track to one of the vertex joins or connecting one of the track to ATLS.
Notes: These gates must be used in conjunction with a Signalbox and placed upto 50 metres away, Interlocking Gates are connected to the Signalbox through a set of gears which is controlled by the large wheel seen inside.
