This is a model of a typical, VR type 'G' brick signalbox, as introduced with the Electrification and Colour Light Signals within the suburban area of Melbourne, just prior to 1920. This 'version' of the design represents one of the larger sizes within the set (but by no means the largest), with a Miniature Frame of 75 levers. With such a large capacity, clearly, this model is intended for use around very large junctions, the actual model on which it is based (Franklin Street Junction in Melbourne), controlled a junction of 3 sets of double tracks, with additonal sidings and a 'branch' that led to a substantial yard and Locomotive facility. A 'free standing' Signalbox, this version of the design, although it has been textured to the same standard as the other Type 'G' generic Signalboxes in this series (by the same author and available separately), it has significant mesh differnces to make it unique . Because this item is KIND scenery ONLY, it can be placed anywhere on a route without the need for additional Invisible Track (although somewhere beside a railway line in the vicinity of a large interlocked junction would be appropriate). As a 'scenery' object, it has the capabililty of being used as the 'housing' for a Trainz Surveyor camera (for which the 'tracking' type is recommended) so that one might view the passage of trains as if located within the signalbox, Toward this end it has the complete interior as part of the mesh (rather than a separate 'cab'), because of which, there are no 'interior' views nor any associated 'external' views. Also, because of the numerous multitudinous shapes involved, this model is very polygon intensive. This asset is intended for use in Trainz version TS2009 or later.
