Lingheds sawmill. In 1897 the Linghed Steam sawmill was founded by lake Svärdsjon in Dalarna and it is rather typical of the kind of sawmills that were common in Sweden upp till ca 1940.
Operations was shut down in 1937 and today nothing can be seen on the site. The mill got its timber from timber rafting on the river system leading to the lake. So a big wire crane and 2 timber splines complete the setup.
The mill is a functional industry which produces Auran Timber kuid:-3:10003. It loads 42 loads on the loading ramp at the rate of 2 loads per 30 seconds. Triggers for loading is by the small crane.
