The DRB Class 50 were a series of highly successful 2-10-0 Decapod freight steam locomotives in Germany operating during WW2 and the decades after. The last unit was retired in 1987. A 1-chime 'hooter' was the standard freight and passenger steam whistle for the state-owned railways in Germany. This is the actual whistle sound of a DRB Class 50.
