In the late 2000's, after over 60 years of lying dormant, Union Pacific Class C-57 2-8-0 Conslidation #428 was steamed up for the first time in forever. Her whistle is a short bell 5 chime built by Star Brass, one of many companies that commercially made steam whistles for a variety of customers, such as factories, shipping lines, and railroads. This was recording during one of #428's first tests under live steam in 2009.
