Surprise Creek Trestle was so named because of the suddenness with which it appeared on the Canadian Pacific Railway in the Beaver River valley of British Columbia, Canada. It was 430 feet long and 164 feet high and consisted of three Howe trusses on high wooden towers. A 300 foot steel arch bridge replaced Surprise Creek Trestle in 1894. High poly. 20,731 polys.
