Commonwealth Railways GM12 to GM36 Class Diesel Electric Locomotive enginespec.
The GM12 Class Locomotive entered service from 1955 at Clyde Engineering New South Wales, the Locomotive was of a Co-Co bogie motor arrangement based of the Victorian Railways B Class, on it's way to South Australia it was transfered to Broad Guage at Albury for it to Travel via Victoria to South Australia which it was put back on Standard Guage, GM group numbers 12 to 21 where fitted with D-37's, numbers 22 to 26 where fitted with D-47's, numbers 27 to 29 where fitted with D-57's and numbers 30 to 36 where fitted with D-67's.
