A relic from past days of farming the Rounded threshing barn is a common sight in Northern Sweden. They replaced the square barns in appox. 1850 and remain in use until the mid 20th century when mechanised threshing became common. Nowadays they are mainly used to host dance events due to their generous area and smoothness of the wooden floors
