A lighting trolley as formerly used on platforms by the Midland Railway for lighting and servicing gas lamps and for canopy cleaning. They were normally built as one-offs to suit the height required. This one is based on a drawing in the LMS Lineside series published in 1975 in Model Railways which depicted one used at Loughborough Midland station. No doubt similar trolleys were used by other companies.
