Miscellaneous Accessory Series Industrial Bagging Scales
The MAS series contains what would be known in Film/Stage/TV circles as 'set dressing' - smaller items added to the overall scene to give it character by adding details of an appropriate locale and period.
Having already made the Pooley's scales from the example on the platform at Bridge of Dun station on the Caledonian Railway, further research suggested thast there was an Avery model with all but identical superstructure, though a different pattern of weighing platform.
Since the Avery products seem to have been the commonest in use, I've modified the Pooley scales accordingly, and applied the correct Avery livery and an alternative pattern of backrail as found in several photos.
Thanks are due to fellow members of the Trainz Carriage and Wagon Works group who gently pressured me into searching out a prototype so that I could provide as accurate model as possible.
