Modular Landscape KIt Inverness to Kyle Erbusaig Boulder Bank Spline
The final section of the Kyle line hugs the shore of Loch Carron. Some of the spoil resulting from the blasting through miles of solid rock was used to provide the trackbed, no more so than at Erbusaig, where the line sweeps across the natural harbour on a long curved embankment made from big chunks which deprives the fishing hamlet of a fine view, except through the fisherfolk's access bridge at one end. Similar banks can be found along the coast, the next biggest being at Duncraig.
