MAS Wicker Trunk Plain New
Wicker trunks were a common means of goods transportation in the days before pallets, as their woven construction allowed a certain amount of air circulation. Common uses were laundry, sports kit, theatrical costumes, smaller birds and animals and foodstuffs. They had a unique rickety creaking sound when they were being moved, as the weave tended to open up with time, making them less stable.
