Corner Closie/Tenement Shopfront Dora's Chippie
Kerry-oot (carry-out/take-away) food has long played an important part in the Scottish diet, and long before the invasion of global fast-food outlets, this necessity was often provided by the waves of incomers who would set up their single shops in appropriate areas. Since the sixties, the majority of these have been Asian, with both Chinese and Indian strongly represented in even the smallest of towns. Well before that, however, Italians played an important part in the nation's nourishment in both the sweet and savoury departments: ice cream the mainstay of the former, cafes and chippies the latter. Dora's in Dura St., Dundee, is an example of the latter; Dora in this case being an Italian surname rather than a female first one (although the coincidence makes it more universal). It's a long-established business, as you'll see from the sign over the front shutter doors.
The textures come from my pictures of the original (although some finicky collage work was required due to pedestrian traffic lights blocking the front view) and, like the Balmore (just down the raod on the corner of the next block), it's as accurate as possible within the limitations of poly count.
Since the shutter doors are closed, this item can be used with either of the corner tenement units, and as a further bonus, it will also fit two adjacent MTK units (one corner, one standard), although you may need to lower it a tad.
