This is a very much simplified version of the John A. Roebling suspension bridge over
the Ohio River between Covington, KY and Cincinnati, OH. Construction started in 1865,
was completed in 1867, and a second support cable added in 1897. I have have omittd the
second pair of cables to keep the poly count down. The bridge is still in use today tho
with limited tonnage. 2 axle trucks are limited to 15 tons with 3, 4, and 5 axle trucks
limited to 22 tons. There re also spacing requirements for 18-wheelers (no convoys please)
It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
