AV or Middletown Station Served many functions Located between Wickham Ave and Low Avenue in downtown Middletown the Station was built around 1895. In 1904 the North
Tower was constructed. In 1919 the second story was constructed and the third story was constructed in 1936. This building was the
General Office for the New York Ontario & Western until its shutdown in 1957. The first floor contained a ticket office and waiting
room. It also contained the Seeholzer Restaurant All trains made a 10 Minute stop at Middletown for passengers to buy a meal the
O&W did not operate dining cars on its lines one of the few railroads in the 20th Century to operate long distance passenger
trains without a Snack, Cafe or Dining Car
