This is an Erie Railroad type IV Building with a baggage room. This was
located on the north end of the Erie Railroad's Greenwood Lake Branch. In 1963 a connection
was made at Mountain View with The old Lackawanna's Boonton line which was severed between
Totawa and Paterson NJ for the construction of route 80. With the reroute of Boonton Line trains
at Mountain View service north of Mountain View was severely curtailed only 2 trains a day went thru
to Hoboken and 4 others requiered changing trains at Mountain View. Ridership on the line
plummetted and service North of Mountain View was abandoned in 1966. The station here modeled
was shortly demolished afterwards. Little remains of the railroad in Wanaque NJ
