NSW Trackside | Train Stop (Trip)
A Trip device is used to automatically trigger the emergancy breaks on trains if the signal is past at stop (also know as a SPAD incident).
When used in combination with signals capable of displaying a LOW SPEED indication, a speed limit of 25km/h applies.
Currently this asset does not trigger the brakes but the arm will raise and lower when the signal changes. The train stop will first look behind it to find a signal. If it can't find one then it will look ahead and if it still can't find one then it will keep the arm raised.
