Amtrak Baggage Car rebuilt from surplus heritage coaches. This perticular car was a former SP leg-rest coach. These car's are used from 1997-present day and can be found on any train that runs with checked baggage. This car is in the common Phase IV-low which is the most common paint scheme for these cars. 1762 and 1763 were the last 2 cars converted, and recieved a full width stripe with discolored blue, and out of place looking letters. Sources say that these two cars were rebuilt with parts left over from other car styles, hence why they have different style paint and different style sliding doors.
