The Bodie Island Lighthouse is a black and white banded, brick lighthouse with a black lantern and an attached oil house located on the Roanoke Sound side of Bodie Island within the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The lighthouse is painted with three white bands and two black bands that alternate white-black-white-black-white from top to bottom. It has a grey brick base. The light is focussed by a powerful glass First-Order Fresnel Lens. At night, the lighthouse has a unique flash characteristic where it turns on for 2.5 seconds, then off for 2.5 seconds, then on for 2.5 seconds, then off for 22.5 seconds. This cycles repeats with two total cycles per minute. Bodie Island used to be part of Hatteras Island, but a hurricane permanently seperated the island into two sections. The south section is still Hatteras Island, but the north section is Bodie Island
This update improves brick textures.
