During the early 1900s the N.E.R. utilised the S3 type of box on their line in Yorkshire between Church Fenton and Burton Salmon,
though the S3 type was also found at several other sites across the Southern Division of the N.E.R. with an example of the type being built as late as 1910
at Whitby without the upper window lights. The Southern Division encompassed most of the company's lines to be found in Yorkshire.
This model is based on the S3 type box located on the Leeds to Selby line at NEVILLE HILL EAST where carriage sidings meant that there were lines located both to the front and rear of the box.
Frank Routledge did the research and was responsible for many of the photo textures, Chris Nawlins gave lots of input as well.
