As a pre-driving age teenager, a friend of my father owned a 56 Mercury Monclair, and I was lucky enough to get a few driving lessons in it, along with just about everything he had on his property, which included just about everything you can dream up, including, old Dodges, Fords, Internationals, GMCs, Chevrolets, buicks, Pontiacs and even a Merecedes or 2. He was a poster child for hoarding, and owned a huge infirmary in Ruston, WA, which he promptly filled to the rafters with old cars, refrigerators and washing machines. The Merc was one of the few old cars on his property that actually ran and was driveable. I always thought they looked kinda cool with the odd looking taillamps and the hooded headlamps.!
