Visit any city in America, and drive into some of the neighborhoods, chances are pretty good, you will see quite a few of these crackerboxes, as my grandmother called them, likely whole neighborhoods of nothing but these simple homes, built during the postwar era to accomodate the housinng crunch of the postwar baby boom years. As the 50s wore on more modern styles would evolve, but the neighborhoods of cookie cutter Cape Cods are still there
