This is a detailed model of the famous Boggy Creek Trestle Bridge built by the VR Ways and Works Branch to span the deep Gorge of the Boggy Creek near Nowa Nowa on the line to Orbost in Gippsland, Eastern Victoria, in 1916. Unique amongst the other timber bridges built along the line, it's construction neccessitated the provision of concrete supports (up to the level of the local flood waters) and Steel Girders across the central spans due to the generally higher water flow at this point and the amount of debris that collected below the bridge site. Built on a continuous 15 Chains (300 meter) radius and on a constant 1 in 50 (2%) grade, the bridge no longer carries rails (the line having been 'lifted' in 1987), it is now used by the local townsfolk as a pedestrian thoroughfare. This version of the model is intended for Trainz builds 2.9 and above.
