This is the 40Ft (13 meter) high pier portion of a nine piece kit intended to create a timber style Trestle Bridge for the 2 Ft 6 Inch Narrow Gauge Railways of the Victorian Railways, as designed and built by the Ways and Works Branch, from 1935. This pier is intended to raise the bridge to a height no greater than 40ft (13 meters) above the ground and should be located along the bridge a full bridge span (20 Ft/7 meters) from the abutment or nearest pier. As a 'trackside' object, it will automatically 'snap' to the cente of the track laid on the bridge.
