A ship transfer table with five tracks. This model has an entry and exit track. The animation is to simulate the lateral movement of a large ship into the berth or wharf. There are four stopping points to suit different width ships. Place your own wharf structure near the last stopping point, at a distance to suit the smallest width ship. Larger ships should stop at the other points, further from the wharf.
This model has no marker buoy.
Move the ship to stop at the center of the transfer table. Operate the table to move the ship sideways. When the ship is loaded, reverse the table animation so the ship returns to the first entry point. Drive the ship forward to depart. You may connect track to the four wharf points, if you wish to use it for a direct approach, but note that the table must be aligned with the incomming track or the ship will derail. A large ship may hide the red arrows and then the table cannot be operated, use the Move Turntable rule.
