NYCTA R46 Overhauled subway car. The R46's, originally built by Pullman-Standard in 1975 were completely overhauled in 1989-1991, including LCD destination signs, removal of the blue paint stripes, improvements on driving, lighting, controlling, air conditioning and more, vastly improving their reliability.
