When the Oroville dam was built back in the 1960s the Western Pacific had to divert their tracks westerly for about 27 miles to go around the new lake that would be formed by the dam. The first bridge for this new diversion crosses what was to become the diversion pool for the Feather River while the dam was being built. The bridge is a single track deck girder bridge on about a 3 degree curve. The bridge is curveable like track and places like track on your route.
