This is an exact replica of the Signalbox that once stood proudly guarding the Interlocked Gates that protected the Puckle Street Level Crossing at Moonee Ponds, an inner suburb of Melbourne, 4.5 miles from the Main Terminus at Spencer Street, on the Main Line to Albury. The 'model' replicates the Signalbox in the second of it's incarnations, after 1918 when A. B. S. (Three Position Signalling) replaced the original Double LIne Block along the line (as far as Broadmeadows), until 1969 when the Crossing Gates were abolished, along with the Box, being replaced with Automatic Half Barriers. Although this asset is an exact copy of the original, the Trainz ''name'' tag has been left user 'adjustable' to allow the asset to be used in situations other than where it was intended and as a KIND 'scenery' item, it can be placed anywhere on a route without the need for additional Invisible Track (although somwewhere beside a railway line in the vicinity of an interlocked level crossing would be appropriate). It also has the capabililty of being used as the 'housing' for a Trainz Surveyor camera (for which the 'tracking' type is recommended) so that one might view the passage of trains, as if located within the signalbox, Toward this end, it has a complete interior as part of the mesh. Because of this, there are no 'interior' views nor any associated 'external' views. It is intended for use in Trainz version TS2009 or above.
